Nathan Rao · Founder & Houston Realtor®
Built here.Invested in what comes next.
Houston native. Founder of Wag’n World. Realtor® with Haute Haus. My story is about taking a chance, building something lasting, and earning people’s trust along the way.
Let’s talk about your plans
The founder’s story
I put more than
my name into it.
In 2017, I traded corporate stability for a business I believed in. I sold my Pearland home and car, secured a business loan, and founded Wag’n World. There was no franchise playbook or outside investor building it for me.
I lived above the business for more than two years, building the team, the daily routines, and the relationships that would become its foundation. The responsibility was personal. Families were trusting us with someone they loved.
Today, Wag’n World serves Houston through two locations in Montrose and the Heights. I’m proud of that growth, but just as proud of the people and trust behind it. I remain involved in the business. It is a lasting part of my life and my connection to this city.
Meet Wag’n World“For more than two years, I lived above the business I was building.”
What I’ve built along the way
A business.
A team. A reputation.
Growing a company taught me how to make decisions, take responsibility, and keep showing up when people depend on me.

From an idea to two locations.
I took Wag’n World from its beginnings in Montrose to a second Houston location in the Heights. Each step meant turning a vision into a place, a service, and a daily experience people could rely on.
People and systems that work together.
Building the business meant building a team and the systems around it: client communication, care standards, daily operations, and accountability. A promise only matters when the experience lives up to it.
Relationships that keep growing.
Serving Houston families has given me a deeply personal connection to this community. The relationships built through Wag’n World are among the most meaningful results of my work.

The experience behind my approach
More than one chapter.
My path brings together real estate, corporate experience, and the realities of owning a business.
Real estate, 2008–2011
I first worked as a Realtor® from 2008 to 2011, helping clients through leases and home purchases. Those early transactions taught me to listen closely, communicate clearly, and stay accountable through a decision that matters.
12 years in oil & gas
My background also includes 12 years in oil and gas. That corporate experience is part of the perspective I bring to planning, responsibility, and the practical decisions behind a business or a move.
Wag’n World, since 2017
Founding and operating Wag’n World gave me firsthand experience with financial commitments, growth, leadership, and the daily work behind a long-term goal. I know what it means to have your own time, money, and reputation invested in the outcome.
Returning to real estate with Haute Haus
I’ve returned to real estate with Haute Haus, bringing the perspective I gained as a business owner. I help buyers, sellers, and renters consider the property, the practical details, and the life they want to build around it.
What that means for you
A personal stake in getting it right.
Clear conversations.
You deserve to understand your options, the tradeoffs, and what comes next. I start by listening to your priorities.
A practical perspective.
I look at how a home fits your everyday life, your plans, and the responsibilities that come with ownership.
Follow-through.
Running a business has made me attentive to details, communication, and keeping commitments. That is how I approach your move.
Beyond the business
Still a Houston neighbor.
My Houston
Lindale Park is home, and it’s where I made my first home sale. I care about the character of Houston’s neighborhoods and what makes each one feel like somewhere you belong.
